1,4-diazoniabicyclo[2.2.2]octane 1,4-dibutyl-dihydroxide, also known as DABCO dibutyl dihydroxide, is a chemical compound with the chemical formula C16H36N2O2. This quaternary ammonium salt is a strong organic base and is often used as a catalyst in organic synthesis reactions in addition to as a phase transfer catalyst and as a stabilizer for suspensions and emulsions. It a yellowish-white solid, which is sparingly soluble in water but soluble in polar organic solvents.
